About Us

The Long Version

Most parts businesses are organised around price. Ours is organised around certainty, which is a harder thing to sell and a much harder thing to fake. The difference shows up in the least glamorous part of the operation: the receiving bay, where every inbound pallet is opened, sampled and measured before anything is listed for sale.

That process starts long before the pallet arrives. We qualify suppliers by asking for material certification, hardness figures and dimensional tolerances, and we decline the ones who cannot produce them. It rules out a large slice of the market, including a lot of attractively priced stock circulating through grey channels. We accept that trade-off. A brake component that saves a customer eight ringgit and fades on the third hard stop has cost everybody far more than it saved.

Cataloguing is the second discipline. Manufacturers revise part numbers mid production year, sometimes without announcing it, and a listing that ignores those revisions will fit two bikes out of three and generate returns for the rest. We maintain our own fitment tables across the models that dominate Malaysian roads, including superseded references, so an enquiry about a 2015 machine gets the same confident answer as one about a current model.

The third is logistics. Parts are only useful when the bike is on the lift, so orders confirmed on weekday mornings are picked, packed and handed over the same afternoon. Fragile items travel braced. Fluids travel sealed and separated. Tracked consignments reach every state including Sabah and Sarawak, where we run dedicated freight arrangements rather than leaving East Malaysian customers on a slower lane.

Behind all three sits a team that came off workshop floors. They read torque figures for a living before they read invoices, and that background is why a technical question here comes back with a number instead of a shrug. Riders, home mechanics, independent workshops and courier fleets all buy from us for the same underlying reason. When we say a part fits and meets specification, it does.

About Power Running Supply

Sourcing, inspection, cataloguing and logistics, described plainly.
What We Are For
To make correct, verified motorcycle parts the easy default in Malaysia rather than a lucky outcome. Every listing should be something a mechanic can order without hedging.
How We Judge Stock

Specification, batch consistency and real service life decide what we carry. Price matters, but it never overrules the measurement, and it never gets a failing part onto our shelf.

Inspection Discipline

Inbound shipments are sampled and gauged against original dimensions before listing. Stock that misses tolerance goes back to the supplier, not into a clearance bin.

Workshop Knowledge

Our team has spent years with spanners in hand. That experience turns a vague enquiry into a confirmed part number, and it catches fitment traps before your order ships.

Riding Community

We support local riding groups and back safety and maintenance workshops around Penang. A better-informed rider maintains a safer bike, which serves everyone on the road.

Catalogue Growth

Our range expands on customer demand, not on supplier promotions. Tell us what you cannot find and it goes straight onto the sourcing list.
